WORLD FOOD DAY 2026
12-10-2026
Dear Parents,
Greetings of the Day!
We are pleased to inform you that World Food Day will be celebrated on 16th October 2026. Through this initiative, we aim to nurture in our students a deep sense of gratitude for food, respect for its value, and compassion for those who are less privileged.
As part of this celebration, we encourage students to contribute dry food items, such as biscuits, rice, dal, poha, wheat/atta, ragi, packaged cereals, dry fruits, chana, sugar, jaggery, and other suitable, sealed, non-perishable food items.
The collected food items will be donated to an orphanage or an old-age home by our Student Council members, with the support of the school team. This initiative will provide our students with a meaningful real-life experience, helping them understand the importance of sharing, kindness, and social responsibility.
Such experiences encourage children to reflect on the privileges and support they receive in their own lives and develop empathy towards those who may not have the same opportunities. We believe that education extends beyond classrooms and that true learning happens when children put values into action.
Participation in this activity is entirely voluntary. However, we sincerely appreciate your encouragement and support in helping us make this initiative meaningful for our students.
Let us join hands to teach our children that food is precious, wastage is avoidable, and sharing with those in need is both an act of kindness and a moral responsibility. Together, we can nurture a generation of compassionate, responsible, and conscientious citizens who will contribute towards building a better and more caring society.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and support in shaping the values and character of our future generation.
Warm regards,
Principal
