Dear Parents and Students,
We are pleased to inform you about the Sakal NIE (Newspaper in Education) Initiative for the Academic Year 2026–27. This educational program is designed to enhance students' reading, writing, literacy, and general awareness skills through engaging newspaper-based learning activities.
Under this initiative, students will receive the bilingual weekly newspaper "Sakal NIE", which covers various topics such as science, finance, environment, health, spirituality, scholarships, nutrition, and current affairs. The program also includes brain teasers, workshops, competitions, and interactive learning activities.
Key Benefits of the Sakal NIE Program:
Weekly NIE Editions:
A 12-page coloured "Sakal NIE" issue every Friday during the academic year (July to April).
Digital Learning Resources:
Curriculum-based learning material for Marathi and Semi-English medium students from Std. V to X through the Sakal NIE mobile application.
Workshops and Competitions:
Opportunities for students to participate in various academic and creative activities and win prizes.
Special 'My School' Issue:
Schools with 300 or more NIE subscribers will receive a complimentary 4-page special issue showcasing school activities and student achievements.
Membership Benefits:
Each registered student will receive a bag worth ₹1000 and an NIE Identity Card.
Registration Fee: ₹500 per student
Parents who wish to enroll their child in the Sakal NIE Program are requested to submit their consent and registration fee to the class teacher.
